CA May 2019 Examination Dates Announced: What You Need To Know

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced CPT June 2019 and the CA May 2019 examination dates.

CA May 2019 examination includes the CA Foundation Course (under new scheme), Intermediate (under Old and new scheme) and Final (under Old and new scheme).

CA May 2019 Examination

The foundation course, under the new scheme, will be conducted from 10th, 12th, 14thand 16thMay 2019.

Intermediate IPC course (old scheme) will be conducted in two groups.

Examinations for the first group will be conducted on 3rd, 5th, 7thand 9thMay 2019 while the examinations for the second group has been scheduled on 11th, 13thand 15thMay 2019.

Under the new scheme, the Intermediate course examinations will be held on the 3rd, 5th, 7thand 9thMay 2019 for group one. The group two examinations will be conducted on 11th, 13th, 15thand 17thMay 2019

The CA Final examination under both the schemes will be taken on the same dates.

Examinations for group one will be held on 2nd, 4th, 6thand 8thMay 2019 and the examination dates for group two are 10th, 12th, 14thand 16thMay 2019.

The International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT- AT) will be conducted on 10th and 12th May 2019.

The three-hour duration examination will begin at 2 in the afternoon.

However, Paper 3 and 4 of the Foundation Course will be conducted for 2 hour and therefore will conclude at 4:00 pm. There will be no advance reading time for these papers.

Additionally, Paper 6 (elective) of the Final examination (new scheme) will be for 4 hours. It will end at 6:00 pm.

The examination will be conducted across 193 cities in India and 5 cities abroad. The exam centres abroad are Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, and Muscat.

According to an ICAI statement, the Examination commencement timings at Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Muscat Centres will be 12.30 PM, at Doha Centre will be 11.30 AM and at Kathmandu (Nepal) Centre will be 2.15 PM.

Registered candidates can fill the examination forms for the CA Final, Inter and Foundation courses from 20 February, 2019 till 12 March, 2019.

CPT June 2019 Examination Schedule

The Common Proficiency Test (CPT) will be held on Sunday, 16 June, 2019 in two sessions at 197 centres in India and 5 overseas centres.

The places of examination overseas are Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, and Muscat.

The first two hour session (morning) will begin from 10:30 am. The section will be for ‘Fundamentals of Accounting’ (Section-A) and ‘Mercantile Laws’ (Section-B).

The second session will start from 2 in the afternoon and end at 4:00 pm. This section will conduct the examinations for ‘General Economics’ (Section-C) and ‘Quantitative Aptitude’ (Section-D).

It is an objective type multiple choice questions based examination in which students are allowed to opt either in Hindi or in English.

Registration Process For CPT June 2019

Students can fill the application process for CPT June 2019 from 4 April, 2019 till 24 April, 2019.

Candidates will be allowed to apply till 2 May, 2019 along with Late Fees of Rs. 600 for Indian and Kathmandu Centres and $10 for Foreign Centres.

The fees payable for the Common Proficiency Test is Rs. 1000 for centres in India, Rs. 1700 for centres in Kathmandu (Nepal) and $ 300 for centres located in Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai & Muscat.
